Khairuddin Aman Razali says Lim Guan Eng should focus on clearing his name.

PETALING JAYA: The Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali, has questioned the moral authority of DAP Secretary General Lim Guan Eng to criticize him when Lim has yet to clear his name of various criminal charges.

In a tit-for-tat response on Facebook tonight, Khairuddin said Lim’s criticism of him had been done to divert attention from the many charges Lim faced.

Lim had said earlier today that Khairuddin’s attack on Pakatan Harapan and DAP last week was done to divert attention from his fine for failing to comply with the rules on home quarantine after returning from a trip abroad.

However, Khairuddin said today that Lim should focus on clearing his name, which had been tainted by accusations of corruption. “That is a very serious criminal offense. That is a great sin. Immoral! “Said Khairuddin.

He questioned Lim’s right to speak of morality when the former attorney general had dropped the corruption charges against him for the purchase of his bungalow in a way that people dispute.

“He is still facing a tunnel corruption case involving RM6.3 billion,” said Khairuddin. He also accused Lim of having “shamelessly and immorally” lied to Dewan Rakyat about stealing the GST money.

There were also current complaints about direct negotiations of projects worth RM6 billion during his tenure as finance minister.

“I think he wants to divert people’s attention from talking about the corruption case that still haunts him,” Khairuddin said.
