KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang is warning members that they could be expelled from the party for moral misconduct.

He said the party highly valued good behavior and disapproved of those who went against Islamic ethics.

“The important thing is to have good morale. If you do something immoral that contradicts Islam and morals, you can be expelled from the party.

“In PAS, the first thing (that is looked at) is in terms of immorality, secondly, if there is any misconduct we will leave it to the law,” he said when meeting with journalists after attending the Mid-Year Convention of the Nasional Administration of Perikatan here. Tuesday (September 1).

During his speech at the previous convention, Abdul Hadi said that despite being in power for only six months, the Perikatan government had accomplished much more than the Pakatan Harapan administration previously.

He said a clear difference can be seen in terms of how the ministers of the two administrations handle matters.

“There are many differences that can be shown. Previously, during the Pakatan administration, the ministers were busy complaining about the government before them, and since we took over (the government), it has been much more positive.

“The existence of Perikatan itself is the best achievement, where we managed to unite the Malaysian parties and other parties that support the PN, and we have the support of the people,” he said. – Bernama
