Penang allows dinner at hotels, supermarkets, fast food franchises starting Friday: CM

CITY OF GEORGE: All sectors and activities allowed by the Federal Government under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) will be able to operate again in Penang starting tomorrow (May 13), Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said.

Chow, in a Covid-19 live Facebook post today, said this was decided at the state Special Security Committee meeting chaired by him today.

“Starting tomorrow, May 13, Penang will enter the opening phase of the Penang Gradual Recovery Strategy (PGRS). All sectors and activities allowed by the Federal Government under the CMCO will be allowed in Penang, “he said.

However, he said that the list of prohibited activities announced by the Federal Government was maintained.

He said dining at restaurants, which include hotels, supermarkets and fast-food franchises, would be allowed in phases starting Friday, and that local authorities would announce guidelines related to their implementation tomorrow (May 13). – Bernama
