Yusoff Rawther claims that he was assaulted by Anwar Ibrahim’s aide, Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak.

PETALING JAYA: Police released investigative documents on Yusoff Rawther’s alleged assault by Anwar Ibrahim’s assistant Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak, two months after the Attorney General’s Chamber reopened investigations into the police report filed against Farhash last May.

“The investigation documents have been passed on to the Deputy Attorney General (DPP). It is now in the hands of the DPP, “a source told FMT.

Farhash, the head of the Perak PKR, has repeatedly rejected claims that he attacked Yusoff, who separately accused Anwar of sexual assault, in his private office last year.

A Pantai Hospital medical report indicated that Yusoff had injuries and a broken shoulder that would require RM40,000 surgery.

Yusoff filed a civil lawsuit against Farhash in September, seeking compensation for his injuries. Farhash has filed a defamation suit against Yusoff.

In January, Yusoff revealed that the DPP had decided that there would be no further action after the first investigation due to a lack of concrete evidence.

Subsequently, sources in the knowledge told FMT that the then AG Tommy Thomas had given instructions for further investigations into the alleged assault.

The investigations are allegedly carried out under Section 506 and Section 323 of the Penal Code, related to crimes of criminal intimidation and causing harm.
