5 men with shotguns and yaba pills arrested

GUA MUSANG: Police seized two shotguns and 46 five-man live bullets in a car in Jalan Aring Empat here earlier today. They also had 29 yaba pills, known as the “drug of insanity.”

Kelantan Police Chief Shafien Mamat said the vehicle carrying the five men, aged between 25 and 38, was stopped by a team from the Gua Musang District Police Headquarters (IPD) at 2.30 a.m. the dawn.

“During the inspection, the police found two shotguns with 46 live bullets of various types that were kept separately in the vehicle. The five men did not present the weapons license either.

“The men, who work in a nearby oil palm plantation, admitted that the shotgun was used to hunt animals in the abandoned area of ​​the plantation. Two kerambit blades, a ketum water bottle and 29 yaba tablets were also found in the vehicle, ”he said today at a press conference at the Gua Musang IPD.

Yaba is a category one drug, the worst type of drug there is.

Shafien said one of the men also tested positive for methamphetamine.

“They have been detained until April 7 to assist in the investigation and now we are tracking another man believed to be linked to firearms,” ​​he said, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 8 of the Firearms (plus Penalties) Act of 1971 and Section 8 (a) of the Firearms Act of 1960.
