Threats to overthrow IGP come from corrupt agents, law enforcement sources say

The young Turks in the police force who are plotting to overthrow Police Inspector General Abdul Hamid Bador are disgruntled and threatened with his strong anti-corruption stance, the sources said.

Sources at the federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman told The Malaysian Insight that the threats to overthrow Hamid are real, as the IGP has been very outspoken about fighting bribery among police officers, which has angered the culprits.
