KUALA LUMPUR: Her stepfather allegedly hit a six-year-old girl because she refused to eat.

The lifeless body was dumped near a restaurant at Jalan Memanda 3, Ampang Point.

Ampang Commissioner Jaya OCPD Asist Noor Azmi Yusoff said police were alerted to the incident around 9:50 a.m. on Monday (May 11) after a security guard tripped over the body.

Investigations revealed that the boy was hairless, fully clothed and believed to be about six years old.

“The body lay on the edge of the road and had a card from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR),” it said in a statement Monday.

He said controls on the body revealed bruises in various areas, including the arms and torso.

“We believe that his stepfather struck the victim with a blunt object because he refused to eat.

“The victim was believed to have been beaten to death elsewhere before being abandoned at Ampang Point,” he said, adding that the body was sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for an autopsy.

He said that about 30 minutes after the body was found, police arrested two women and a man, who also had UNHCR cards, at a hotel in Jalan Memanda 5, Ampang Point.

“We believe the victim was killed there,” he said, adding that the three would be sent to help with the murder investigations.
