SHAH ALAM (Bernama): A witness in the murder trial of Cradle Fund CEO Nazrin Hassan told the High Court on Friday (February 26) that the two cell phones recovered from the scene did not explode due to their condition physical.

Mohd Sa’ad said that if the cell phone battery, which is made of lithium and wrapped in a zinc-like material, is overcharged, it will produce a gas that can generate sparks or start a fire.

“A mobile phone battery usually has several components. In the event of a strong explosion, the battery will fall out of its holder,” said the witness, who was also a staff member of the police bomb disposal unit.

Mohd Sa’ad said that based on his knowledge, if the mobile phone’s battery explodes while charging with the screen facing up, the device will be thrown up to two feet high as a result of the explosion.

On March 12, Nazrin’s wife, Samirah Muzaffar, 44, a former senior executive of the Malaysian Intellectual Property Corporation, and two teenagers, 17 and 14, were charged, along with Indonesian citizen Eka Wahyu Lestari. , who is still on the run, from Assassination of Nazrin.
