Former Attorney General Tommy Thomas’s book ‘My Story: Justice in the Wilderness’ has been selling like hotcakes since it was released on Saturday.

PETALING JAYA: The publisher of former Attorney General Tommy Thomas’s memoir has threatened legal action against anyone who shares a pirated PDF copy of the book online.

In a short statement, GB Gerakbudaya also requested the cessation of circulation of the digital copy.

He also demanded that the “offender” remove the copy immediately.

The book, he said, is only available in hard copy, and the digital versions remain private and confidential.

“We are providing this notice in good faith and that the circulation of the pirated version constitutes an intellectual property (IP) violation, and we intend to take legal action regarding this matter if it is not resolved.

The statement comes hours after Gerakbudaya said the book, titled “My Story: Justice in the Desert,” which was published two days ago, was out of print due to overwhelming demand.

A second print run of the book is expected to be ready for sale starting Friday.

The 500-page memoir details the achievements and failures of the past Pakatan Harapan government, among other key issues, including the prosecution of fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho and 1MDB, the extradition of controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik and the resignation of the former prime minister. Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.
