Two Babies Among Latest Sarawak Covid-19 Cases

Sarawak reported 16 new cases of Covid-19 infections today.

KUCHING: Two babies, four months and one year old, are among the last 16 cases of Covid-19 reported in Sarawak.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state reached 1,196 today.

The state disaster management committee said the baby developed a fever on December 25 and tested positive for Covid-19 today after being tested on January 7. The other boy was confirmed positive yesterday and was a close contact from a previously reported Covid-19 case.

Ten of today’s cases were detected in Kuching district, four in Miri district and one in each of Samarahan and Julau districts.

Five patients have recovered and were discharged today, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,090, or 91.14% of the total number of cases in Sarawak.
