KUALA LUMPUR: All educational institutions dependent on the Ministry of Education (MOE), as well as private educational institutions (IPS) registered with the ministry, which includes international schools, will open according to the 2021 academic calendar.
The Ministry of Education, in a statement yesterday, said that the opening dates can be consulted at www.moe.gov.my/takwim, while for the IPS, the dates are subject to the respective academic calendar of the institutions.
“This opening involves educational institutions across the country, even in areas that are under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO),” he said.
Likewise, he stressed that the operation of all educational institutions is subject to the Management and Operation Guidelines of the Institute for Teacher Training and New Standards Enrollment College.
The Ministry of Education will always monitor the current situation of the functioning of educational institutions together with the Ministry of Health and the National Security Council to ensure that the health and safety of educational institutions continue to be a priority, he said. – Bernama
