PETALING JAYA: The MCA headquarters in Jalan Ampang is in the process of reorganization after the head of the Department of Public Services and Complaints, Datuk Seri Michael Chong, tested positive for Covid-19.

Currently, Chong isolates himself at home.

MCA said that upon receiving the news that Chong had tested positive, it had immediately closed the Complaints and Public Services Department office located on the seventh floor of Wisma MCA for full disinfection to take place.

“MCA headquarters also made immediate arrangements for all personnel in said department to undergo Covid-19 testing.

“The management of Wisma MCA has carried out sanitation works throughout the building,” he said yesterday in a statement.

According to Chong, he got tested after several of his friends who attended a meeting with him on Dec. 26 experienced symptoms related to Covid-19.

“They told me to be isolated and if there are any symptoms, only then will I be hospitalized,” he told The Star yesterday.
