PETALING JAYA: Students can return to their campuses in stages on March 1 of next year, says Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad.

The Minister for Higher Education said that new and existing international students will also be allowed to return from January 1, 2021, except those from the UK.

For students who are from the red zones, Noraini said they will return 10 days early to allow the separation process to take place to ensure they do not have the Covid-19 virus.

“The entrance of students in the universities that are in Sabah and Sarawak will be in agreement with the respective state governments.

“The decision to allow local and international students to return to campuses is to enable hybrid learning, through online media and face-to-face teaching and learning,” he said in a statement Thursday (December 31).

Conduct academic activities in accordance with existing standard operating procedures and practice security in accordance with the new normal, he added.
