KUALA LUMPUR: There are no registered Malays living at the epicenter of the earthquake in Petrinja, a city about 60 km from the Croatian capital of Zagreb.

The Foreign Ministry in a statement said today that the Malaysian Embassy in Zagreb had successfully contacted Malays living in Zagreb and that none were reported to be in danger.

“The Foreign Ministry is monitoring developments after yesterday’s 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Petrinja.

“The Ministry wishes to convey the condolences and condolences of the Government of Malaysia to the Government and people of Croatia, in particular to those who have been directly affected by the disaster. Malaysia stands in solidarity with them during this difficult time, ”he said.
