Police Capture 30 At ‘Drug Party’ In Bukit Tinggi Bungalow

KUANTAN: Police arrested 30 people, including a foreigner, who were allegedly holding a drug-filled party at a bungalow in Genting Sempah, Bukit Tinggi, Bentong, 217 km from here, earlier today.

Bentong District Police Chief Zaiham Mohd Kahar said they were between 20 and 35 years old and comprised of 17 men and 13 women. They were arrested during the raid at 4.45am.

He said new investigations found methamphetamine, ketamine and cannabis with an estimated value of RM3,750.

“The preliminary urine test of all the suspects found that 25 of them were positive for methamphetamine, while one was positive for ketamine,” he said when contacted here today.

All suspects are in pre-trial detention for seven days from today.

Zaiham said 29 suspects were also charged under the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act of 1988, where they had to pay a fine made up of RM1,000 each.
