PETALING JAYA: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdulah Sultan Ahmad Shah will undergo a seven-day self-quarantine upon return from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Sultan Abdullah is scheduled to return home tomorrow.

In a statement, the Comptroller of the Royal Household, Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, said that the King and his delegation will undergo a Covid-19 test in Abu Dhabi prior to departure, along with another upon arrival at the KLIA.

“The rest of the delegation will also undergo a self-quarantine in a place established by the Ministry of Health,” he said.

The King had recently met with the UAE Minister of Health and Prevention, Dr. Abdul Rahman, in Dubai to discuss the supply of vaccines for clinical trials in Malaysia.

The meeting was part of the King’s special five-day trip to the United Arab Emirates.
