SUNGAI BULOH: Four suspected robbers were killed when police were forced to shoot them after they ran over a food delivery man twice while fleeing.

At around 12 pm on Friday (December 25), the police received a call about a robbery in a housing area in Rawang.

At 1 p.m., a police team spotted a car fitting the description, and a chase ensued when the driver of the car refused to cooperate with the police.

“During the chase, the suspect’s car struck a food delivery passenger.

“Then he went back to the motorcyclist again when the car got caught,” Acting Deputy Commissioner of Selangor Police, Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed, said at the scene here along Jalan Kuala Selangor.

One of the suspects tried to attack the police team with a machete when they were about to be arrested.

“Shots were also fired to save the messenger. All four suspects died after the shooting.

“The controls showed that the group was already being located by the police with at least 50 robberies linked to them since the beginning of this year.

“They were known to be active in Selangor.

“Two of the suspects are wanted by the police,” he said.

It has been established that the motorcyclist is a 44-year-old single mother and was still alive when the police rushed her to the hospital.

However, its current status is still unknown.
