Sentul cops hunt down accomplices in attempted armed robbery

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are tracking three more suspects linked to an attempted armed robbery in Sentul.

On December 15 at around 11:15 am, the police received the news of the case that occurred along Jalan Metro Perdana Barat 2.

The victim, a 36-year-old man, had been arrested at the time by a suspect armed with a machete.

“The suspect pointed his gun at the victim’s neck and forced him to hand over RM15,000 which belonged to the company the victim works for.

“However, when the suspect tried to flee, he was thwarted by the victim and his bodyguard. The suspect’s three accomplices who were waiting on motorcycles nearby, escaped,” Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Beh Eng Lai said in a statement Monday (Dec. 21). ).

He added that the victim worked for a family computer supplier and that his office was near the crime scene.

“No injuries were reported and the suspect was turned over to the police.

“We are still tracking the accomplice. The suspect is in custody until December 22,” he said.
