KLANG: The number of Covid-19 positive patients and staff at Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Klang Hospital is now 143.

Selangor Health Director Datuk Dr. Sha’ari Ngadiman said in a message on Sunday (December 10) that two hospital staff members and two more patients had tested positive.

This brings the number of positive hospital staff to 62 and the number of patients to 81.

“There are also staff members who completed the home surveillance order who tested negative and returned to duty.

“In general, everything is under control,” added Dr. Sha’ari.

Regarding the cases that come in for treatment at HTAR, Dr. Sha’ari said the hospital was still handling cases with its existing staff who are not in close contact with infected staff.

Dr. Sha’ari also said that two more medical staff tested positive at Serdang Hospital, bringing the number of infected hospital employees to 37.

However, no additional patients have tested positive and the number of infected patients remains 28, he added.

“The state in Serdang is under control,” said Dr. Sha’ari.
