PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): Approximately 10,000 people attended the “drive-through” wedding reception of Putrajaya MP Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, son Tengku Muhammed Hafiz Tengku Adnan and Oceane Cyril Alagia, which took place in Dataran Putrajaya on Sunday (December 20).

A special stage was installed in front of the Palace of Justice where the newlyweds sat and greeted the guests, who passed in their vehicles before collecting the food packages in a special tent when they left the place.

The Javanese-themed ceremony started at 11am and ended around 2pm.

Tengku Muhammed Hafiz said that he and his family thanked all the guests who attended the wedding reception, even though it was held under the new normal.

“The drive-through concept was my father’s idea. I wanted my wedding to be celebrated by all the people in Putrajaya, as they are also my family as I grew up here,” he said.

Tengku Muhammed Hafiz, who is conducting medical studies in Indonesia, said that the ceremony was carried out in accordance with prescribed standard operating procedures (SOPs) to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The event was enlivened by Javanese cultural performances, as well as local artists, who could be seen on a giant screen next to the stage. – Bernama
