Inaugural meeting of the Presidential Council of the PN Government to be informed about the economy, Covid-19 issues

KUALA LUMPUR: The Presidential Council of the Government of Perikatan Nasional (PN), which yesterday agreed to conform, will hold its first meeting at the beginning of next year to hear a report on the current economic situation in the country, the management of the Covid-19 pandemic and preparations for the Twelfth Malaysia Plan.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who is also PN president, said that the presidential council would meet more frequently after this.

“I express my gratitude to all the party leaders who have unanimously agreed to the formation of the Presidential Council of the PN Government and who are determined to move forward together for the well-being of the people and the prosperity of the country.

“In addition to this, we have also agreed on several measures that include the establishment of a secretariat that includes all the general secretaries of the parties in the PN government, the drafting of inter-party letters that will be discussed at their respective party levels, and electoral preparations. He said via a Facebook post last night.

The prime minister said he was very happy to meet with party leaders and leaders of the NP government during the meeting that was held last night as part of the efforts to guarantee the political stability of the country and the well-being of the people and the country.

Earlier, Bersatu Secretary General Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said that a meeting between party leaders in the government of Perikatan Nasional (PN) yesterday unanimously agreed to establish a presidential council of the PN government to discuss government policies and strengthen cooperation between parties in government.

The meeting was chaired by Muhyiddin, who is also the president of Bersatu.Called
