PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan has called on all opposition and government MPs to reject the 2021 budget in the final vote this week.

The coalition secretariat’s council said the budget must be brought down as it fails to meet the goals of fighting the Covid-19 pandemic, helping people and reviving the economy.

“Malaysians are aware that what was announced by the Finance Minister does not meet what is requested and expected by many MPs and even the public.

“This includes issues related to the Employee Provident Fund, the bank loan moratorium, help for those on the front lines and those affected by Covid-19, the education of our children, decreased income, loss of jobs, rising cost of living and many others, “they said in a statement today. .

The statement was signed by the leaders of PKR, DAP and Amanah, namely Saifuddin Nasution, Loke Siew Fook and Hatta Ramli.
