BN Secretary General Annuar Musa reiterates Umno’s position on the ‘no Anwar, no DAP’ policy.

KOTA BHARU: Umno leaders who have signed a legal statement (SD) in support of Anwar Ibrahim are advised to file a police report and file a complaint with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to deny it.

However, Barisan Nasional (BN) general secretary Annuar Musa said that if it is true, leaders must be honest with people to avoid giving the party a bad image.

He said that as far as he knew, the signing of the SD was not a decision made by the party, nor by Muafakat Nasional (MN) nor by Perikatan Nasional (PN), and there was no discussion about it.

“I hope that is not true. Only those whose names have been mentioned know what happened and must be honest, ”he told reporters after a meeting with bloggers in Kampung Tapang here today.

Annuar, who is also a Ketereh MP, commented on claims that MPs from Umno had voiced their support for the PKR president to form a new government.

He also reiterated Umno’s position on the “no Anwar, no DAP” policy.

As such, Annuar advised party members to put the interests of the party before their own personal interests.
