JAKARTA, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) – China’s COVID-19 vaccines were in good condition upon arrival in Indonesia, and refrigeration vehicles for delivery have been well prepared to keep the vaccines in good condition and safe, said Monday. Minister of Health, Terawan Agus Putranto.

A vaccine storage warehouse has also been prepared to house 1.2 million doses of China’s Sinovac vaccine with cold chain management following procedures, he said, adding that COVID-19 vaccines were expected to be distributed to provincial health offices in various parts of Indonesia before being sent to district or city health offices.
The Indonesian state pharmaceutical company Bio Farma has been ready with vehicles with good cold storage facilities to monitor the temperature of the vaccine during the trip, so that the quality of the vaccine is well maintained, the minister said.
The first phase of COVID-19 vaccination would be prioritized for healthcare workers, healthcare worker assistants and support workers at healthcare facilities, as quoted by Antara news agency.
