Manchester United fans believe Bruno Fernandes yelled at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make the PSG replacement

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has enjoyed two of his best nights as Manchester United manager against Paris Saint-Germain.

The dramatic 3-1 win at Parc des Princes in March 2019 remains the best moment of Solskjaer’s management at United so far.

Then the Red Devils scored another victory on the same field in October during the first meeting between the two teams in the group stage of the Champions League this season.

But despite his success in the French capital, Solskjaer has lost both games to PSG at Old Trafford.

Wednesday night’s 3-1 loss at the Theater of Dreams means United need at least one point away at RB Leipzig next week to seal their place in the knockout rounds of the Champions League.

United Fans were frustrated that midfielder Fred was not substituted at halftime by Solskjaer after narrowly avoiding a red card in the first 45 minutes.

The Brazilian midfielder left for the second half, to the disbelief of many followers on social media, and it was not a shock when referee Daniele Orsato showed him a second yellow card with 20 minutes left.

The hosts were already 2-1 down at this point (Marquinhos had just doubled PSG’s lead) and Fred’s expulsion effectively ended United’s chances of sealing a point.

Meanwhile, a clip has gone viral on Twitter that fans believe shows Bruno Fernandes yelling at Solskjaer to make a change.

The Portuguese midfielder, who is a future captain in the eyes of many fans, certainly yells something towards the Manchester United bench.

It seems that many fans are convinced that Bruno was ordering Solskjaer to make a change …

Despite having the option to make five substitutions, Solskjaer did not make his first substitution until the 74th minute, when he replaced Marcus Rashford with Paul Pogba.

The United manager then retired Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani for Mason Greenwood and Donny van de Beek minutes later.

Their final change saw Odion Ighalo enter the fray for Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the 90th minute.

But it was a case of too little too late.

United fans have every right to wonder what would have happened if Solskjaer had retired Fred at halftime and kept 11 men on the field for the full 90 minutes.
