KUALA LUMPUR: Police solved the murder of a former Mardi investigator who died defending himself against thieves at his home in Bangsar on Sunday (November 29).

Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Comm Datuk Saiful Azly Kamaruddin, at a press conference at the contingent’s headquarters here on Monday (November 30), said that 10 suspects between the ages of 21 and 29 were arrested after a second robbery. in Titiwangsa the same day.

A breakdown in the case came after one of the suspects accidentally dropped a wallet belonging to the deceased victim of the first robbery.

“In the second robbery there were no injuries and the family was tied up by the robbers during the 5.15 am incident.

“Since the suspects were not masked, the family made a photographic sketch of the suspect,” he said.

He added that the wife of the former Mardi investigator also successfully identified the suspects when they were captured.

“The thieves in both cases were found to be the same two suspects. The rest were found to be linked to the cases, ”he said, adding that a suspect had also confessed to the crime.

He added that police are still chasing after one more suspect, but police believe these arrests have solved the cases.

On Sunday morning, two burglars broke into the home of 73-year-old Wan Hassan Wan Embong.

A fight broke out after he tried to defend himself from the thieves. This led to him being mortally wounded.
