ASNB declares income distribution of 3.32 sen for Imbang 1

KUALA LUMPUR: Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB) today declared an income distribution of 3.32 sen per unit for ASN Imbang (Balance of Mixed Assets) 1, amounting to a total payment of RM40.57 million, for the financial year ending on November 30, 2020.

Permodalan Nasional Bhd’s (PNB) wholly owned unit trust company said the figure represents a 3.60% dividend yield based on the fund’s net asset value (NAV) as of Nov. 30.

PNB in ​​a statement said today that the total payment will benefit more than 46,156 shareholders with more than 1.22 billion units.

“The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Index increased 3.23 percent for the financial year to date through November 26, 2020, from 1,561.73 points to 1,612.11 points in the same period.

“The slight improvement is a positive development for PNB as it continues its commitment to deliver competitive returns and provide valuable services to shareholders in the ongoing battle against the coronavirus outbreak,” the fund said.

PNB has also undertaken various strategies to enhance the investment portfolio by further diversifying into international equities and by focusing on sectors that are less susceptible to the current economic environment.

The calculation of the income distribution for ASN Imbang 1 is based on the units owned and the NAV of the units as of November 30, 2020.

The declared distribution will be reinvested as additional units in the shareholders’ accounts and automatically credited to their accounts on December 1, 2020.

Transactions at all ASNB branches and agents were temporarily suspended from November 27-30 to facilitate the calculation of income distribution.

Unit holders can update their accounts on the myASNB portal www.myasnb.com.my or through their mobile app, or at any branch of ASNB or its agents nationwide when transactions resume on December 1, 2020 . – Bernama
