Speaking to Stadium Astro, Moussa Sissoko highlighted the main difference between José Mourinho and Mauricio Pochettino as Tottenham coaches.

The French midfielder has starred in North London with both gaffers, but believes there are some key differences between the two tacticians’ style of play.

Sissoko seems to believe that Mourinho is much more defensive, while Pochettino was more focused on playing with the ball.

“I will say that, with Mourinho, you are more solid defensively and you try to play with the opponent’s weaknesses, and with Pochettino we were more playing with the ball, more offensive, perhaps more creative.” Sissoko said.

“But at the same time, we left a lot of space behind us and some teams could hurt us when we lost the ball.”

To be fair, anyone who watches the game regularly could tell you the differences between Pochettino and Mourinho.

What’s intriguing, though, is the way Sissoko talks about his former Spurs coach’s tactics, and he’s not the only Tottenham player impressed by Mourinho.

He seems to have bought into Mourinho’s more pragmatic style, pointing out the flaws in Pochettino’s more expansive tactics, and that’s good to see, considering the Portuguese player is his current boss.

Of course, it is difficult to be overly critical of Pochettino’s tactics, while at Tottenham, he guided them to their best result in the Premier League and led them to a Champions League final, but if Mourinho can go better, no doubt will fall like Tottenham. legend.

It remains to be seen who will be considered the pair’s best Tottenham coach when all is said and done.
