PETALING JAYA: Starting December 14, employers can submit their employees’ EPF applications to keep the statutory contribution rate for employees at 11%.

“All submissions for this purpose must be made through the i-Akaun (Employer) portal only.

This is in line with the EPF’s efforts to ensure physical distancing and minimize face-to-face interactions to prevent the spread of Covid-19, “EPF said in a statement on Saturday (November 28).

EPF said it is limiting employers from coming to its branches, as well as restricting visits by officers to employer facilities.

“Employers can only be at EPF branches for the purpose of registering as an employer with an appointment through Janji Temu Online.

“Payment of monthly contributions to the EPF, as well as late fees and dividends, can be made through i-Akaun (employer), internet banking and designated bank agent counters,” he said.

For other matters, including advisory services and account management, EPF said employers can directly contact the Employer Advisory Service (EAS) Officer assigned to their companies for assistance.

For more information, employers are encouraged to contact EPF’s Contact Management Center at 03-89226000 or visit their website.
