Salutica production workers test positive for Covid-19

KUALA LUMPUR – Multiple production workers with electronics and plastic maker Salutica Bhd has tested positive for Covid-19.

The Ipoh-based company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Monday that it had immediately closed the affected production areas for deep cleaning and disinfection. The affected production workers have been quarantined accordingly.

Added disinfection, the use of masks and the practice of social distancing would continue to be strictly established.

Salutica said that as a security measure, it would allow employees to work from home for two weeks.

“We will continue to work closely with the relevant authorities and follow the standard operating procedures of the Ministry of Health and the National Security Council to ensure the safety of our employees,” he said.
