Inter Milan could offer Christian Eriksen to Manchester United in hopes of securing Fred as part of the deal, according to a report.

Eriksen has struggled since moving from Tottenham, suffering a streak of poor form.

His teammate Romelu Lukaku has said that learning Italian would benefit Denmark’s international. Coach Antonio Conte, for his part, has doubted that this change will have an impact.

Furthermore, Conte has insisted that he will not seek to move Eriksen into a deeper role to suit him. As such, ties that he could be on the move again shortly after signing for Inter have resurfaced.

Previous reports have suggested that an exchange with Arsenal for Granit Xhaka it could be an option. But nevertheless, Xhaka supposedly feels happy with his role in Mikel Arteta’s revolution.

But Corrierre dello Sport (via Sport mole) claims that a move to United could be another option for the frustrated star.

As part of the deal, Inter would seek to sign Fred, which, according to the source, would be a difficult operation.

Red Devils coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has relied on the Brazilian as a key protector of his back four from midfield. As such, it would take some persuasion from Inter bosses for that part of the deal to go through.

Furthermore, it is unclear whether United would want Eriksen on their side. Also attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes has arguably become the first name on Solskjaer’s team sheet.

The Italian publication adds that Leandro Paredes of Paris Saint-Germain is another option for a trade for Inter.
