6 new Covid-19 clusters detected in 3 states

Close contacts in areas identified as new clusters of the pandemic are being investigated.

PETALING JAYA: Six new Covid-19 clusters have been detected in Sabah, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur during the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health reported today.

In a statement, Chief Health Officer Dr. Noor Hisham Abduallah said the groups were known as the PTS Sibuga groups, the Jesselton construction site, Dermaga and Tempasuk in Sabah, as well as the UDSS2 group in Selangor and the Awan Baru construction site in KL.

The PTS Sibuga group in Sandakan, Sabah, first involved an individual examined after showing symptoms. The patient tested positive on November 5.

A total of 324 people have been tested, of which 104 tested positive.

The Jesselton construction site group in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, first involved a person examined on the job site. The patient tested positive on November 28.

A total of 181 people have been tested, of whom 44 tested positive.

The Dermaga group in Sandakan, Sabah, first involved an individual examined after showing symptoms. The patient tested positive on October 24.

A total of 297 people have been tested, of which 34 tested positive.

The Tempasuk group in Kota Belud, Sabah, first involved an individual examined after showing symptoms. The patient tested positive on November 24.

A total of 149 people have been tested, of whom 12 tested positive.

The UDSS2 group in Petaling Jaya, Selangor first involved an individual examined after showing symptoms. The patient tested positive on November 27.

A total of 40 people have been tested, of whom 13 tested positive.

The Awan Baru construction site group in Kepong and Cheras in KL involved cases detected during a conducted assessment on November 28.

A total of 442 people have been tested, of whom 31 tested positive.
