Noor Hisham also said that of the 162 groups active in the country, 72 involved the workplace, including four of the current new groups. He added that the increase in Covid-19 cases in the Klang Valley was due to these groups of workplaces.
“There are some factors that have contributed to the spread of infectious disease among workers, such as their bedrooms, personal hygiene and the cleanliness of their homes and workplace.”
Following the rise in infections involving foreign workers, he urged all employers to educate their workers on personal hygiene and provide them with housing that ensures physical distancing between workers.
