PETALING JAYA: Chief Security Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said police arrested 482 people yesterday for disobeying standard operating procedures, including 137 captured in entertainment centers.
In a statement, Ismail said 438 of them were fined, 40 were placed in pretrial detention and four received bail.
In addition to being found in entertainment centers, others were captured for not registering the personal data of customers when entering the stores (101), not wearing masks (69) and not observing physical distancing (128).
There were also 26 who were arrested for crossing state and district lines without permission.
Authorities also detained 68 undocumented immigrants and 10 traffickers yesterday as part of the ongoing Ops Benteng campaign.
They also confiscated three vehicles and a boat.
