PUTRAJAYA: Police arrested 46 people yesterday for crimes related to the movement control order, including 15 people at a private party.
In a statement, Chief Security Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said 45 people received compound fines and one was released on bail.
Among their crimes are non-compliance with the SOPs for not wearing masks, operating premises outside the permitted hours and activities that make physical distancing difficult.
A total of 3,185 compliance task force teams were deployed, involving 13,314 people. They carried out controls in 55,838 premises.
These included supermarkets, restaurants, street stalls, factories, banks, government offices, as well as terminals for land, water and air transportation.
Ismail said 22,906 people who came through KLIA were tested for Covid-19 from July 24 to September 3.
About 66 tested positive during this period and were sent to hospital for treatment.
Some 9,028 people are in mandatory quarantine.
