SINGAPORE: Singapore confirmed 447 additional positive Covid-19 cases today, of which only four are Singaporean or permanent residents.
The “Ministry of Health” attributed the “vast majority” of the cases to foreign workers who stayed in dormitories.
With the new cases, the media reported that the republic’s count now stands at 17,548.
The ministry said it was still working on the details of the cases and will provide an update later.
Late Friday, the ministry said the SingPost Center group on Eunos Road has been closed as there have been no more cases in the past two incubation periods.
The republic has also identified seven new groups, with one at the Tuas South incineration plant, which now has a total of eight confirmed cases.
The largest group, the S11 bedroom in Punggol, has so far registered 2,467 confirmed cases.

Meanwhile, foreign workers in the dorms dominated the count with about 86 percent or 14,776 cases.
