KUALA LUMPUR: Police arrested 59 people, including high school students, who attended a wild party at a condo here yesterday.
Dang Wangi District Police Chief, ACP, Mohd Fahmi Visuvanathan Abdullah, said in a statement yesterday that those arrested in the 2 a.m. raid by the Kuala Lumpur Narcotics Crime Investigation Department and Dang Wangi had between 14 and 23 years old.
“The police arrested 44 men and 15 women (in the raid) and 27 of them were minors.
“Two men were in possession of 31 ecstasy pills,” he said, adding that 12 men and 4 women tested positive for amphetamine and ketamine.
He said two college students and a high school student were among those who tested positive for drugs.
“All those arrested are currently in custody for four days to facilitate investigations under Section 39A (1), Section 12 (2) and Section 15 (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act of 1952,” said Mohd Fahmi .
He added that RM1,000 each were also composed under Rule 3 of the Regulation for the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Infected Local Areas) (No 8) 2020. – Named
