JOHOR BAHRU: A total of 246 people, including teenagers, were aggravated 1,000 RM each for disobeying the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) at two city entertainment centers last night.

Johor Police Chief Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said that all of them, aged 15 to 63, did not comply with the regulations stipulated in the RMCO, including observing physical distancing.

He said they included a 17-year-old man who tested positive for methamphetamine and a 63-year-old Singaporean man for failing to present his passport.

The inspection in the two entertainment centers was carried out during an integrated operation in which the Department of Criminal Investigation of Narcotic Drugs (CID) and the Division for the Fight against Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies (D7) of the Johor Police Headquarters, Narcotics CID of Johor Bahru Selatan Police District. and the Johor Bahru city hall. It started at 10 o’clock last night, he said in a statement today.

Khan said 11 foreign nationals, including six women, including one Indonesian and five Thais, were arrested for staying longer.

The five men were from Taiwan, Nigeria, the United Kingdom, China and Yemen, it added.
