2022 Honda Civic Sedan spotted back in production

The production version of the 2022 Honda Civic has been sighted again, with images posted on the Civic forum showing the 11th generation model in the US specification. We can even see the sedan in two colors, Lunar Silver and Platinum White, the former being a never-before-seen shade.

As we have already deduced before, the final form of the new Civic closely resembles that of the Civic Prototype revealed last November. Styling is certainly much less aggressive compared to the outgoing 10th-gen FC car, with a simpler bumper design forgoing prominent false corner shots in favor of C-shaped elements, which have C-shaped fog lamps. production.

An arched frame helps frame the wider lower entrance, while the upper grille has a body-colored section to support the Honda logo. The latter is flanked by stylish headlights with LED daytime running lights that bear an L-shaped signature.

Hints of the current Accord can be seen along the sides, where you’ll find a notched area on the bottom line of the window near the C-pillars. The FC’s sloping roof line carries over here and leads to a spoiler on the rear trunk lid.

At that mention, the boot lid houses part of the new two-piece taillights, which are more conventionally shaped compared to the FC’s “ketam look,” and carry the signature L-shaped lighting seen on the front part. Again, the rear end looks virtually similar to the Civic Prototype, although the dual exhausts on the show car are not present on the production car. There is also a set of five double spoke alloy wheels, something that was not clearly visible with the dark gray car before.

We still don’t have interior shots of the production 2022 Civic, though it will likely mimic the prototype, which sports a wide, horizontal dash with a floating screen, slimline air vents, and a three-dial climate control panel.

The new Civic is expected to go on sale in the US in late spring this year, and larger markets like China will follow suit. As for us, it’s probably a couple of months before we can smell the redesigned C-segment sedan. Are you looking forward to it?
