2020 Toyota Hilux Facelift: Confirmed Prices Announced For Five Variant Ranges From RM93k To RM147k

UMW Toyota Motor has announced the confirmed retail prices for the 2020 Toyota Hilux facelift, which will be officially launched soon. There are some changes from the estimated price revealed last month.

The range of five variants for the revamped pickup starts with the Single Cab 2.4 MT 4 × 4 at RM92,880, which is RM1k less than previously listed at the above estimated price. This is followed by the first of the four crew cab models, the 2.4E AT 4 × 4, which costs $ 108,880, also $ 1k less than previously suggested.

Similarly, the 2.4G MT 4 × 4, which at RM111,880 is also RM1k cheaper than what was stated last month. Next comes the 2.4V AT 4 × 4 – the upgrade to the outgoing 2.4 L-Edition is priced at RM133,880, again RM1k less than previously suggested. Meanwhile, the top-range 2.8 Rogue AT 4 × 4 is RM2k cheaper than estimated, the variant is priced at RM146,880. As detailed last month, UMWT is offering customers an advance price of RM144,880 for the 2.8 Rogue, for the variant sales made this year.

All prices are on the road without insurance and include SST (trucks are not eligible for sales tax cuts) as well as a five-year / unlimited-mileage factory warranty.

The 2.4-liter versions will likely feature the 2GD-FTV mill seen above, with its outputs of 150 PS at 3,400 rpm and 400 Nm from 1,600 to 2,000 rpm unchanged. As for the 2.8-liter 1G-FTV four-cylinder turbodiesel engine in the Rogue, the improvements now result in the unit delivering 204 hp at 3,400 rpm and 500 Nm from 1,600 to 2,800 rpm, 27 hp and 50 Nm more than before.

Items on the equipment list will include bi-LED headlights with LED fog lamps, an Optitron instrument cluster with an updated multi-information display, as well as an Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible touchscreen head unit, along with a system telematics for vehicles. (VTS), which will allow owners to verify the real-time location of their vehicle through a mobile app and subscription.

Also on the Hilux is the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) suite of driver assistance and safety systems, with the suite on the truck consisting of three systems, namely Pre-Collision System (PCS), Cruise Control dynamic radar. (DRCC) and Lane Departure Warning (LDA) with yaw assist. Additionally, the 2.4-liter versions are configured to be dressed in new 17-inch and 18-inch alloy wheel designs.
