PUTRAJAYA: The Ministry of Health reported today two new Covid-19 clusters in Sabah and Selangor.

These are the Kau Sing group in Sabah and the Embun group in Selangor.

The cluster’s index case in Selangor was a 41-year-old Malaysian man, first identified as positive for the virus through individual symptomatic screenings on September 29. He was later admitted to Sungai Buloh Hospital.

After that, close contact examinations found four more positive cases.

All the group’s positive cases involved Malaysians.

As of noon today, 52 people had been tested, 21 were negative and 26 were still awaiting results.

In Kau Sing’s group in Sabah, Noor Hisham said he first identified himself in Tawau, with seven cases involving five Malaysians and two foreigners.

The index case in the group was a 29-year-old Malaysian man who tested positive for individual symptoms on September 25. He was later admitted to Tawau Hospital.

A total of 27 people were examined and six other cases were identified. Nine people tested negative and 11 are still awaiting the results.
