Welcome to the roundup of the new Android games that were released on the Play Store or that we saw the week before or so. Today I have the arrival of the Riot Legends of Runeterra trading card game, a new Five Nights at Freddy’s spin-off, and the sequel to Kingdom: New Lands. So without further ado, here are the most notable Android games released during the week of April 27, 2020.

Games
Legends of Runeterra
Android Police coverage: Legends of Runeterra is a new League of Legends card game now available
Legends of Runeterra is a collectible card game from Riot Games, and although the genre is not as popular as it was before, there still seems to be a fan base for these types of games. For the most part, the title is well balanced, and online matches are often fairly fair, although the fact that you can buy as many cards as you like (a recent change) means that the game could be considered paid to win.
Monetization: Free / No Ads / IAP from $ 4.99 – $ 49.99
Ultimate Custom Night
Android Police coverage: Ultimate Custom Night is Five Nights at Freddy’s spin-off that finally hit Android
Ultimate Custom Night has been ported to Android, and is a mashup title containing fifty selectable animatronic characters from the Five Nights at Freddy’s series, and you can also set its difficulty level, making this a survival adventure that suits to the skill of any level. Basically Ultimate Custom Night takes the best aspects of past games and wraps it up in a highly customizable setting so it should easily appeal to fans of the franchise as well as newcomers.
Monetization: $ 2.99 / ad-free / IAP $ 4.99 per item
Kingdom two crowns
Android Police coverage: Kingdom Two Crowns standalone adventure game lands on Android for $ 10
Kingdom Two Crowns is the sequel to the indie adventure game Kingdom: New Lands, bringing with it a new co-op mode as well as a launch event starring some characters from Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The developers have also added a new campaign mode to the sereis, which means there is more structure for this release over the first title. So if you’re looking to delve into a new kingdom builder, Kingdom Two Crowns is as good as it sounds.
Monetization: $ 9.99 / no ads / no IAP
Head level
Android Police coverage: DIY platform game Butterscotch Shenanigans Levelhead lands on Android for $ 7
Levelhead is the latest release from Butterscotch Shenanigans, a competent developer with a wicked sense of humor. More or less, Levelhead is similar to Mario Maker, as you can create your own levels as part of the main game mechanics. Interestingly, Levelhead offers a unique insight into the rating of these levels, so the more you play the content than everyone else, the better the placement for your user-created levels. Essentially, the more you play, the more chances you have of people noticing your content, which should lead to a solid level rotation for everyone.
Monetization: $ 6.99 / no ads / no IAP
Anti Pong
I ran into Anti Pong on the iOS games subreddit last weekend and I was pleased to find out that the game was also available on Android, so I gave it a try. If you can’t tell by name, this is a game where you will avoid a ball, and that is because your paddle is made up of separate blocks, and will shrink every time the ball bounces off your blocks. Ultimately, this is a game that combines Pong with Breakout, and the result is a nice title that is fun alone or locally with friends.
Monetization: $ 0.99 / no ads / no IAP
Wanderlust: Trans-Siberian
Wanderlust: Transsiberian is the latest chapter in the Wanderlust: Travel Stories collection, and is a standalone release, not to be confused with the Steam version that requires the central game. In this text-based adventure game, you will travel along the Trans-Siberian railway, and your decisions are yours, so if you enjoy interacting with others, or just for yourself, you can do so in this release, resulting in a personalized experience. Not to mention, better reproducibility.
Monetization: $ 1.99 / no ads / no IAP
Hyperspace delivery service
Hyperspace Delivery Service has been available as a trial version on Android for some time, but this week marks the official launch on Android. The game is played like the classic Oregon Trail adventure game, but of course you are in space, and luckily the story contains a ton of humor, which really completes this science fiction focused adventure game.
Monetization: $ 3.99 / no ads / no IAP
Surviving Titan
Surviving Titan is a 2D survival game played in top-down view. This means that it is an open world experience, and very similar to Crashlands, you are stranded on an alien planet with a robot helper. The similarities aside, this is a fun little survival game, and since it’s a premium launch, you won’t have to worry about any in-app purchases ruining your fun.
Monetization: $ 4.99 / no ads / no IAP
Samsara Room
Samsara Room is a free release of Rusty Lake and used to exist as a web-based game, which means it is the predecessor to the Rusty Lake universe. Unsurprisingly, Samsara Room is a point-and-click adventure, and it’s mostly played as an escape room game. So if you want to celebrate Rusty Lake’s fifth anniversary in style, you should pick up the Samsara Room rush. After all, the game is free.
Monetization: free / without ads / without IAP
Well-being: well-being for children
Well-Beings: Wellness for Kids comes from Kuato Studios, the same people behind the Marvel Hero Tales educational game. Unsurprisingly, Well-Beings is also an educational launch, offering a collection of mini-games built around 100 motivating and mood-boosting tasks. Ideally, these tasks will teach your child to relax while teaching him to be mindful of the mood of others. One thing I am sure of is that many parents would be very interested in teaching their children during quarantine.
Monetization: free / without ads / without IAP
Don’t break the robot
Don’t Break The Robot is a fun little puzzle game where you are tasked with drawing the most direct path to your goal, but the point is, you must also light up every green platform along the way. Of course, there are many obstacles lurking, so you will have to think on your feet to find the best routes available without dying. There are fifty levels to solve that are divided into five separate worlds, which should keep players busy for a long time.
Monetization: free / contains ads / without IAP
Blend It 3D
When our beloved leader Artem tells me that a game is popular, I listen to it, so it seems like this mixing game is a hot product. Like most casual games, this is an ad-supported title, though you can remove these ads through an in-app purchase if you find them annoying. More or less, it will be your job to mix drinks in a blender by pushing objects in that blender to fill the glass on each line. It’s a simple setup, and it makes for a nice time.
Monetization: free / contains ads / IAPs $ 2.99 per piece
Crowd bomber
Crowd Bomber is a Voodoo release, so the title contains ads, although you can remove these ads through a single in-app purchase. Voodoo usually offers casual games, and Crowd Bommer is no different, though it’s at least a one-time release. You see, it will be your job to paint all the NPCs on each level, and to cover them all, you will have to carefully shoot the paint into enough NPCs so they can spread the paint to anyone who is uninjured.
Monetization: free / contains ads / IAPs $ 2.99 per piece
Fancade
Fancade is a mini-game collection app that contains many different genres of games. You can jump from a simple card game and then try your luck in a driving game or a 3D puzzle. You can also create your own games that can be shared with the player base. Please note that some of the listed mini-games will charge you a small amount of money in-game to unlock them. You can buy this currency through a few different in-app purchases, but you can also earn it by viewing ads.
Monetization: free / contains ads / IAP from $ 0.99 – $ 9.99
Mecha Tank Arena
Mecha Tank Arena is a shooting game with two sticks, not that you knew it from the description of the Play Store or the screenshots of the title. I don’t know why developers are so afraid to explain their games or show illustrative screenshots, but it sure is a trend that I wish more developers would ignore. Essentially, the game plays as a level based two stick shooter game where you will shoot baddies and bosses to gain upgrades and enhancements so you can advance further.
Monetization: Free / Contains Ads / IAPs from $ 1.99 – $ 44.99
Area F2 – Global Launch
Area F2: Global Launch is a generic interpretation of Rainbow Six Siege for mobile devices, so, unsurprisingly, this is a shooting game that contains a fair share of in-app purchases. Beyond the questionable monetization, it seems that the developers have successfully cloned the main mechanics of Rainbow Six Siege, so this shooting game can be fun, as long as you don’t expect quality support or slick graphics.
Monetization: Free / Contains Ads / IAPs from $ 0.99 – $ 49.99
Royal Crown
Man, if you thought the launch of a CCG this week was a bit late for the party, wait until you get this MOBA. Sure, MOBAs are a near-dying trend on mobile devices right now, but that didn’t stop LINE Games from releasing the latest generic MOBA to contain an anime theme on the Play Store. Another misstep is the fact that MOBAs rely on a large number of players for pairing, of which the player base for this new title is too small for people to easily jump into enjoyable matches. Hopefully that will change soon, but for now, the game needs to be polished up even more, and it definitely needs a bigger player base.
Monetization: Free / No Ads / IAP from $ 2.49 – $ 84.99
Subscribe to my adventure
Subscribe to My Adventure is an RPG that simulates what it would be like to start your own social media empire. You’ll start off as a rookie streamer, and you’ll have to rank up gaining attention and subscriptions, just like you would in real life. So far, the reviews of the game are quite positive, although many users mention that the title currency is difficult to earn, slowing progress. It also seems like the game is having translation issues, so cutting the text can also lead to progress issues. Hopefully, these hurdles are tackled in no time, because otherwise it’s a fine RPG, despite the greedy monetization.
Monetization: Free / No Ads / IAP from $ 1.99 – $ 99.99
