1,247 new cases, S’gor leads as Johor emerges

COVID-19 | The Ministry of Health reported 1,247 new cases of Covid-19 today, bringing the accumulated cases to 101,565.

Klang Valley states and territories accounted for 48.8 percent of new cases, followed by Sabah (18.0 percent) and Johor (16.4 percent).

In Selangor, there were 152 cases that were detected through “other examinations”.

For Johor, the state reported 205 new cases today compared to 115 yesterday and 118 the day before. Johor’s cases last exceeded 200 on Monday, where 276 cases were reported.

Main indicators:

  • Active cases: 18,576 ↓ (1,284 less than the previous day)
  • ICU patients: 108 (6 more than the day before)
  • Intubated patients: 47 ↑ (2 more than the previous day)
  • Deaths: 3

Two reported deaths were from Sabah and another was reported from Selangor. The cumulative number of deaths from Covid-19 for Sabah stood at 257 or 57.2 percent of the national total (449).
