COVID-19 | The Ministry of Health reported 1,009 new cases of Covid-19 and six deaths in the 24-hour period that ended today at noon.
Today a new record was set for the number of active cases.
Main indicators in brief:
- Active cases = 10,503 ↑ (164 more than the previous day)
- Intensive care patients = 78 ↓ (4 less than the previous day)
- Intubated patients = 28 ↑ (1 more than the previous day)
Five new deaths were reported in Sabah, one in Selangor.
According to the Health Ministry, five deaths were reported in Sabah while Selangor reported one.
Sabah’s cumulative death toll is 143. Sabah has reported 51.6 percent of the country’s total Covid-19-related deaths, which is 277.
Of the six victims, two were foreigners, both in Sabah. The ages of the victims ranged from 54 to 92 years.
Of the 1,009 new cases, nine were imported cases. They involve four foreigners and five Malaysians.
Sabah continued to report the highest number of new cases (55.9 percent) followed by the Klang Valley regions (19.6 percent) and Labuan (9.4 percent).
