PUTRAJAYA: Approximately 10,000 people attended the “drive-through” wedding reception of the son of Putrajaya MP Tengku Adnan Mansor held today in Dataran Putrajaya.

A special stage was set up in front of the Courthouse where the newlyweds, Tengku Muhammed Hafiz Adnan and Oceane Cyril Alagia, sat.

The newlyweds greeted the guests, who passed in their vehicles before collecting their food packages in a special tent as they left the venue.

The Javanese-themed ceremony started at 11 a.m. and ended at 2 p.m.

Hafiz said he and his family thanked all the guests who came to the wedding reception, even though it was held under the new normal.

“The drive-through concept is my father’s idea. He wants my wedding to be celebrated by all the people of Putrajaya, as they are also like my family when I grew up here, ”he said.

The groom, who is a medical student in Indonesia, said the ceremony was conducted in accordance with prescribed standard operating procedures under the Covid-19 pandemic.

There were Javanese cultural performances, as well as other performances by local artists, which were also screened on a giant screen next to the stage.
