Major Galaxy Tab S7 / + leak reveals down to the last detail about rival 5G iPad Pro

The iPad Pro has dominated the premium tablet market for years. But very soon, Apple devices could face stiff competition in the form of the 5G-ready Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7 + they now have it leaked in its entirety.

The most impressive tablet in the series is also the largest model. Samsung has selected a 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display for the Galaxy Tab S7 + complete with support for a super smooth refresh rate of 120Hz and a decent resolution of 2800 x 1752p.

The narrow bezels surround the panel and hide an 8-megapixel selfie camera that will be perfect for video calls. The front sensor also allows Face Unlock, although an on-screen fingerprint scanner is available as an alternative.
Complementing the viewing experience is a four-speaker setup tuned by AKG and compatible with Dolby Atmos. Samsung has also included compatibility with the S Pen stylus, as part of an attempt to compete directly with the iPad Pro.

Samsung has released several versions of the pen in the past decade, but the S Pen planned for 2020 is the best yet. Magnetically charged at the rear, it supports an impressively low 9ms latency, putting it on par with the second-generation Apple Pencil. The accessory features handwriting recognition and also works with a series of hand gestures.

Complementing the external package is the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage as standard. Other storage options are in the works and microSD card support is also available.

Samsung is believed to have Android 10 and One UI 2.5 pre-installed. There’s also a 10,090 mAh battery that allows up to 16 hours of video playback on a single charge, according to Samsung, and supports fast charging of up to 45 W.

The Galaxy Tab S7 + comes with Wi-Fi network support as standard, just like any other tablet. But instead of settling for an optional 4G LTE model, the South Korean company has opted for a 5G variant that offers 256GB of storage as an added incentive.

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S7 is similar to the Galaxy Tab S7 + model in many ways, but there are a few key differences. For one, it features an 11-inch screen that uses cheaper LCD technology instead of the superior AMOLED alternative.

There’s also a smaller battery in the form of a 7,400 mAh cell that allows 15 hours of video playback and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of an on-screen implementation.

However, everything else on the tablet remains unchanged. Despite previous reports from Samsung using the standard Snapdragon 865 within the smaller tablet, the report released today suggests that you have selected the Snapdragon 865+ after all.

The cameras have also been brought from the larger model. That means customers can expect an 8-megapixel selfie sensor, a 13-megapixel main camera on the back, and an additional 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter.

As for the variants, the Wi-Fi model ships with a 6 / 128GB storage configuration, while the 5G variant offers a 6 / 256GB configuration as standard.
