Prepare to discuss soccer fans because Madden NFL 21 ratings are out.
The EA Sports franchise published the rankings of every player in the game and, to no one’s surprise, current Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes tops the list.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is one of five players in the coveted 99-player club with the highest overall rating possible. It is well deserved considering that all he has done in his first two years of start is win the league MVP and win the Lombardi Trophy.
It’s safe to say that many players will be dressing up as Bosses this year with Mahomes pitching Travis Kelce (97 overall), Tyreek Hill (96 overall), Sammy Watkins (91 speeds), and Demarcus Robinson (89 speeds).
He won’t throw the league’s best wide receiver, at least in the eyes of those in the Madden ranking.
New Orleans Saints pass catcher Michael Thomas is the highest-rated wide receiver in the NFL and one of four other players alongside Mahomes to be rated 99 overall. Joining him is Los Angeles Rams right winger Aaron Donald, Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey and New England Patriots cornerback Stephen Gilmore.
Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle, Houston Texans left back JJ Watt and right guard Dallas Cowboys Zack Martin missed the cut with 98 overall.

Notably, coverage athlete Lamar Jackson, who is also the reigning MVP, is not even the best player on his own team.
That distinction applies to Baltimore Ravens right winger Calais Campbell, who records a total of 95 compared to Jackson’s 94 mark. Jackson can at least console himself with his speed of 96, making him the quarterback for fastest field in the game.
Seahawks interlocutor Russell Wilson (97 overall) is the only quarterback outside of Mahomes with a higher overall rating than Jackson.
Madden players now have the full roster of rankings at their disposal as they choose which teams are going to lead a virtual Lombardi Trophy while waiting for the actual 2020 season to begin.
