Lionel Messi again sent an explosive goodbye message to his friend and strike partner Luis Suarez on Friday, including another blast in Barcelona.
Argentina have flown to the club several times recently, and his recent omission has led Barca to criticize the way they exited Suarez.
Suarez made a splash on Messi’s Instagram with a thank you message.
He wrote, “Friend, thank you for your words, but thank you for the way you are, you have been with me and my family since day one.
“I will always be grateful to Messi’s man – funny and emotional – because every player knows.
“Don’t forget what I told you: ‘Keep up the good work and show that you are number one’, and don’t let two, three or four be huge for the club and the world of football.
“My friend, I love you so much, and we’ll miss you five.”
Uruguay proceeded to complete their move to Atletico Madrid on Friday. He passed medical and then signed a two-year contract at Wanda Metropolitan.
