Love in the Time of Corona: Freeform actually made a television show about coronavirus

By the time it became clear that the new coronavirus was not going to go away any time soon, a million tweets and email headlines and subject lines decided to coin “Love in the Crown Time” (or some variation of it). ), a twist on the novel by Gabriel García Márquez Love in times of anger.

And it was only a matter of time before Love in the Time of Corona became a kind of romantic medium, and lo and behold. Freeform debuted the first 30-second teaser of Love in times of the crown, a four-part anthology. She will join other event-focused romantic anthologies like Love actually, Valentine’s Dayand New Year Eve, but it’s probably a little bit more tragic, since, you know, uncertain times and all that.

Don’t worry, all the stars are quarantined together (hello, celebrity couples and families!) And the series was filmed using remote technologies.

Love in times of the crown starring Leslie Odom Jr. and Nicolette Robinson (a real life couple) as a couple who have been dealing with some issues, but have apparently decided to use this downtime to fix it; Tommy Dorfman and Rainey Qualley (not a real-life couple, but apparently living together) as Platonic roommates trying to find love while isolated from the rest of the world; Gil Bellows, Rya Kihlstedt and their daughter Ava Bellows (a real life family!) As a family whose daughter is in college, even though the parents are secretly separated; and L. Scott Caldwell as a woman whose husband cannot return home from her rehab center.

Love in times of the crown It will be a two-night limited special event, which will premiere on Freeform on August 22 at 8 p.m. ET and on August 23 at 8 p.m. ET. The episodes will be available on Hulu the next day.
