The owner of a Los Angeles bar was battling tears on Friday, claiming that Mayor Eric Garcetti had shut down the outdoor patio in his business – while a Hollywood movie crew set up an outdoor dining area a short distance away.
Closed at the Pineapple Hill Grill and Salon in the city’s Sherman Oaks neighborhood, the county ordered a ban on outdoor dining, a stay-at-home order issued by the mayor – and coronavirus hospitalization if California state-level plans hit the required levels.
